John Maher and Jojo Naughton

John and Jojo have had a variety of careers in all sorts of fields. John has worked in the transport and moving sectors, security and in retail. Jojo trained as a chef in the RNZAF, later working in restaurants in New Zealand, and then in her own. Later, Jojo qualified as a veterinary nurse and later became a counsellor/social worker. John and Jojo have a shared love of the outdoors and in particular gold detecting. John wanted land in Central Victoria and Jojo wanted to have a bed and breakfast somewhere beautiful. The Evans Hotel in Bealiba came into view, and it all went from there.

John and Jojo have a shared love of creativity and making things. John loves gemstone polishing and makes his own jewellery and building with wood - making toy boxes, bread bins, toys, shelves, blanket boxes, household items, playground equipment, etc. Jojo loves to paint, embroider, up-cycle furniture and undertake interior and garden design projects. John has been dragged kicking and screaming into the world of interior design, with the refurbishment of The Evans Hotel.
